The South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra is not just a Behind The Scenes look at a day in the life of conductor Morihiko Nakahara, but a genuine reflection of rehearsals, music selections, radio interviews, and what it’s like to lead every member of the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra. The documentary includes interviews with members of the orchestra about their journey as a musician, being selected as a member of the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, and what the orchestra was like before Morihiko Nakahara took the podium as conductor, with insight on the direction the orchestra is moving toward today. During the live performance at the Koger Center, Fisher Films used multiple GoPros to shoot orchestra members performing their craft and Canon Cinema Cameras for intimate interviews with Morihiko Nakahara in his apartment. Fisher Films used an array of different cameras, techniques, and styles to help render the best documentary to match the pitch of the South Carolina Philharmonic. Watch The South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra; it will be music to your ears.
Taft Watson: More Than a Coach, was shot in conjunction with Oak View Point Films at multiple locations in Mullins, South Carolina with talented actors and athletes to recreate years of Taft Watson’s life and career as Terrell’s Bay High School basketball coach. To capture the enormity of this small town hero, Fisher Films once again relied on Canon's Cinema Camera line to bring this small town hero’s story to life. It’s more than just about a community coming together to support their team and their coach. The town of Mullins was gracious enough to block off portions of the city to allow Fisher Films to take the audience back to the glory days of Taft Watson and Terrell’s Bay. With a year of location scouting, Fisher Films was able to trace the life and places of this legendary coach and the courts on which he won and lost. It’s MORE than pep rallies and parades when the whistle blows for the tip off and the opponent is Coach Taft Watson from Terrell’s Bay High School. It’s more than a town with an opportunity to bring two rival teams together under one roof, to share the colors gold and green. Or is it? Taft Watson: More Than a Coach in select theaters 2017.
The South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame highlights the accomplished careers of South Carolina’s finest athletes with quick glimpses of their fastest times, longest putts, strongest home runs, and the most helmet-crushing tackles. Fisher Films searches through hours of sports footage looking for that perfect representation of each individual athlete. On site interviews provide more intensity to the event being told leaving us not only on the edge of our seat but feeling the sense of relief, frustration, or pain when each athlete closes their story. Professional narrators are used for voice-overs when athletes are unavailable due to scheduling conflicts. Fisher Films makes every effort to share their stories with the highest representation of the individuals as possible. Congratulations athletes and welcome to the Hall of Fame!
